That’s not cool! Scott Pilgrim was brilliant! I see a lot of other comic creators who’ve been inspired by some of the elements of the SP books. For example, Brian Wood’s the New York Four had a lot of the descriptive boxes like SP, and I don’t think that Black Metal would exist if SP hadn’t of been made. I could be wrong about these people’s inspirations, but Bryan Lee O’Malley’s work has definitely had an impact on the industry.

Brian Lee O’Maley FTW!
When I was at ’09 ECCC I hit the Oni panel (O’Maley wasn’t there) and when someone asked about Scott Pilgrim and it’s effect on comics the guys (I won’t mentions names) sort of rolled there eyes. What they said was basically that SP is fluffy, and people like fluffy. Well hooray for fluffy!
BTW, your kid pic is uber-cute.
